Shamanic Death

The shamanic death rituals practiced by Siberian Shaman Ahamkara focus on embracing a new cycle while releasing the past. These rituals guide us in letting go and finding closure, paving the way for rebirth. Similar to ending a day – a “small death” – and awakening to new opportunities each morning, each ritual facilitates transformation in a specific aspect of life, preparing one for the ultimate transformation, the moment of “death.”

The concept of shamanic death originates from ancient rituals across various traditions. In Siberia, this ritual is specifically designed for shamans. Elders would stretch an animal skin between four trees and leave the shaman alone in the woods on this elevated skin. When the time was right, they would return, marking the shaman’s initiation. This ritual opened many channels within the shaman, preparing them for their role.

Nothing concludes without a new beginning. When you are ready to let go of old parts of yourself, you can create new adventures in your life.

For a profound experience of shamanic death, and to connect with the spiritual world for a happier life, one must undergo all seven rituals. These can be followed in any order or chosen based on personal resonance.

  1. Ritual 1 : (Bilzen, Oct 17, '20)

This is depicted as eternal communion with God, a place of joy and peace (Revelation 21:4). It is characterized by the absence of suffering, tears, and death. The faithful who accept Christ as their savior are promised eternal life in this divine presence.

Pass through the gate of personal suffering. Leave behind loneliness, sadness, madness, ego, addictions, diseases, jealousy, insecurity, and other habits. Journey through the shamanic world to Erlik, the protector of the past, then move to the future to set new life goals. This ritual can open the third eye and help predict the future.
  6. Ritual 5 : (Purmerend, Apr 4, '20; Bilzen, Mar 20, '21)

Prepare for death by reflecting on your life and symbolically burying yourself in sand and leaves. This is done in spirit, not physically. Transform stress and blockages into freedom, joy, and fun. Open yourself to greater opportunities to interact with nature spirits and elevate your energy to a shamanic level.
  7. Ritual 6 : (Purmerend, May 22, '20; Bilzen, May 14, '21)
